OUR MISSION-To conserve, protect and restore North America's coldwater fisheries and their watersheds.The El Dorado Chapter's service territory covers El Dorado County, California west of the Pacific Crest Trail. Principle watersheds are the Middle and South Forks of the American River and the North and Middle Forks of the Cosumnes River.

OUR ORGANIZATION- TU is a national organization with more than 140,000 volunteers organized into about 400 chapters from Maine to California and Alaska. There are over 10,000 volunteers in California. This dedicated grassroots army is matched by a respected staff of lawyers, policy experts and scientists, who work out of more than 30 offices nationwide. These conservation professionals ensure that TU is at the forefront of fisheries restoration work at the local, state and national levels. OUR LOCATION- The El Dorado Chapter, number 927, operates from Placerville California and is chartered to serve the western slope of El Dorado County. The Chapter was recognized in June of 2011 and comprises 140+ members. Our meetings are scheduled for the third Wednesday of the month.

Member conservation activities have been on the Silver Fork of the American and the NorthFork of the Cosumnes. This work has been with the Sac-Sierra Chapter of Trout Unlimited, the Department of Fish and Game and the Watershed Education Council. Members also worked with the fish rescue from Finnon Reservoir at Mosquito.
